"The achievements of an organization are the results of the combined effort of each individual."
- Vincent Lombardi
Team Builders Plus offers a variety of training programs to help improve performance. Our sessions can be designed as open enrollment for individuals with specific developmental needs or as organizational rollouts. These programs are designed for people at all levels of the organization, ranging from individual contributors to senior level executives.
Why We Click with Some and Clank with Others
Why We Click with Some and Clank with Others is an exercise in self-awareness and self-improvement. The session is based on the DISC Behavioral Model and is designed to help people understand themselves, understand others, and ultimately, adapt behavior to build better relationships and get better results. The session will helps individuals to:
- Identify behavioral tendencies and reveal potential blind spots
- Understand that individuals have different needs and learn how to adapt to them
- Understand communication styles and remove barriers to open communication
- Anticipate and minimize potential conflict
- Reduce conflict and stress
- Provide managers with an understanding of staff needs
- Set goals and develop priorities for dealing with people of different behavioral styles
All in! Accountability at Every Level
Participants of All in! are guided through a step by step process that builds a comprehensive plan for achieving collective accountability: to Perceive, Commit and Execute. Participants will collectively determine the relationship between the environment they create the results they deliver. Participants discover how taking ownership of their environment is the key to increasing not just productivity, but morale, self satisfaction, and team spirit.
Capitalize on team roles
Tapping into a group's creative power can only happen when team members recognize and value each other's individual capacity to contribute to the process. While team members work together towards a common goal, individuals must play their individual roles in the process. These roles include: Creator, Advancer, Refiner, Executor, and Flexor. As organizations rely on teams to innovate and get results in a changing environment, individuals must understand and capitalize on their individual approaches to group problem solving. Individuals will learn how to work from their strengths by identifying their most natural team role.
Conflict Management
Conflict can be resolved as a win-win only when individuals take personal responsibility to deal with the conflict. This session helps participants understand the causes of conflict and the benefits of dealing with conflict. Individuals will learn how to turn conflict into an opportunity to improve relationships, reduce stress, and increase productivity. Participants will assess current conflict-resolution skills and devise new strategies to assertively deal with conflict.
Enhance creativity and problem solving
Participants will learn a variety of methods for generating ideas and brainstorming. These tools can be immediately applied to any problem-solving situation and will help individuals efficiently develop quality solutions. Participants will also learn about creativity "blockers" or what gets in the way of developing new solutions to old problems. Throughout the session, participants will have the opportunity to practice their new tools and skills through a variety of interactive exercises.
Improve interpersonal communication and listening skills
Individuals develop their ability to "say what they mean and mean what they say" by utilizing words, tone, and body language for maximum impact. Participants will uncover the untapped strengths of effective communication, including how to convey confidence, share clear and concise information, and how to use communication to create a positive environment.
People spend 45% of their time listening, yet most have never had any formal listening skills development. After experiencing the effects of being listened to by someone with poor listening skills, participants will have the opportunity to practice the behaviors of an effective listener. Participants will understand the importance of "listening to understand" rather than "listening to respond." Depending upon the length of the program, participants may even have the opportunity to complete a listening profile to learn how they listen in a variety of settings.
